Open Source Load Testing tools are open-source software used to measure the performance of web applications and perform load tests. These tools are used to simulate the load that occurs when users interact with web applications. Apache Bench (ab) is a tool used to perform simple load tests. ab measures the performance of the server by sending data to a specific web page. This tool is suitable for simple tests but may not be sufficient for more complex scenarios. JMeter is an open-source load-testing tool and can support a wide range of scenarios. JMeter provides users with extensive reporting and analysis features. Gatling is a tool used for load testing and performance testing. This tool allows scenarios to be changed in real-time and can be used to perform a dynamic load test. Locust is a Python-based load-testing tool and is used to simulate users' real scenarios for load tests. Locust can be used from simple tests to more complex test scenarios. Artillery performs measurements in real-time based on a specific scenario and also offers the ability to report results. These tools are typically used to measure the load capacity and performance of web applications. The tools can drill down into various metrics such as CPU utilization, memory usage, network latency, response times, and server responses. These metrics can be used to measure and improve web application performance.
